Vacuum Tester and Brake Bleed Kit

There are many uses for this tool, but as a vacuum brake bleeding tool has to be one of the top uses. We were selling the Mityvac system for many years, but recently they have more than doubled the price to the wholesalers, a rise we consider unwarranted, so we are dropping it. Mityvac has got a great reputation, but so has Laser Tools and so we cannot justify the extorsionate incease to our customers. This tool is, as you would expect from Laser Tools, of excellent quality being aimed at the professional market.

A vacuum tester is great for testing the function of vacuum fuel taps and many other vacuum based systems found on modern bikes, including Scotoilers. The vacuum gauge gives measurments which is also helpful.

Compressed Air Powered Brake Bleeder

If you have an air compressor this brake bleeder makes great sense. It is inexpensive for such a well made tool and allows you to bleed two calipers at once.

As with all vacuum bleeders it helps to wrap the threads of the bleed nipples with PTFE tape to prevent air being drawn past the threads. You can then connect the air line to the tool and connect the two pipes to the bleed nipples of the calipers, press the trigger and lock it on, and when you open the bleed nipples fluid and air, if present, will be forced out of the pipes and you will be able to see you are clear of air. Always keep an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir and top it up as necessary.

DOT 4 Brake Fluid

• Synthetic and low viscosity brake fluid for use in brake and clutch systems of vehicles requiring either DOT 3 or DOT 4 hydraulic.

• Especially recommended for ESP/DSC, ASR and ABS systems.

• Optimum protection against wear, foaming and corrosion.

• Mixable with all synthetic brake fluids of specification DOT 3 and DOT 4.

NEVER mix DOT 3 or DOT 4 with DOT 5 Brake fluid

Brake fluid is hygroscopic ie it is designed to absorb moisture. Once opened it will start to absorb water and so after a prolonged time will not be suitable for use. SO buy what you will need in the immediate future as it cannot be safely stored. Remember - your life depends on the safe working of your brakes!
