This tyre fitting paste, sometimes refered to as tyre soap, more from it's consistancy than its effect, can be brushed onto the tyre and the rim to make the removing and fitting tyres much easier. Dry tyres are really hard work to push on and off the rim, but this inexpensive lubricant makes all the difference. Also, once the tyre is on the rim it makes it easier to get the bead to pop out, when you first inflate it. A tub this size lasts for ages, unless you're fitting tyres for a living in which case we can supply a bigger size if required.

Non-residue, low friction tyre fitting gel. It does what it says on the pot!

It leaves the tyres cleaner than traditional tyre fitting soap (paste). We have used both in our workshops and whilst the gel saves a little bit of wiping, 250ml of gel is the same price as 1kg of paste - how much do you hate cleaning? On balance the gel is marginally easier to use, but it really comes down to preference. In a busy tyre shop the soap wins hands down on price.

Ralph reviewed this product as "Tool of the Month" in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine (March 2024) and was blown away by it. We have been waiting impatiently since we started Biker's Toolbox for someone to manufacture a decent wheel building frame that actually works. This jig works a treat. Its primary use is as a wheel builder and as far as we are aware it is the ONLY competant tool on the market for this job. It has the second use as a wheel balancer. As a balancer it's great, but is limited in size. During testing it proved not to be wide enough to take a rear wheel from a modern Z900RS and hasn't enough depth to balance a 21" tyre off a trail bike. This unit has the extra advantage of folding up so that it doesn't take up much space

This dual purpose stand is designed to support a motorcycle wheel through the wheel bearings, allowing it to be freely rotated so that it can be checked for both balance and rim alignment. The stand features an adjustable pointer which can be set so that radial and lateral runout can be checked and adjusted, with gravity being used to find the heavy spot on the wheel and tyre combination. The stand is foldable making it ideal for mobile use and easy to store when not in use.

This is a well made, simple wheel balance frame. We have used this product for years in our workshop and it has done sterling service. Once you've used it a bit you'll find that it isn't really that much slower than a big whoopy doo dynamic balancing machine, which costs a shed load of money and takes up a huge footprint in the workshop.

It comes with 17 - 25mm cones and spindles as standard. We sell a larger cone kit for 24mm - 38mm bearing centres but we very rarely use them as we concentrate on classic bikes which don't have the big monster axles of some of the modern bikes!
